Olympics 2012: Swiss team uses Software made in Leipzig, Germany
The Olympic Games 2012 are coming to a close and the German company Dibomedia is keeping their fingers crossed not only for the German but also for the Swiss team. The Olympic team from Switzerland uses Dibomedia’s hotel software, Lodgit Desk, for managing their team accommodations.
In the last few years, Dibomedia has developed and improved Lodgit Desk often, clearing hurdles such as availability in different languages and multi-user function. Now, the finish line for the latest development is already in sight: the integration of a channel manager. This interface will be released with the next big update and will allow users to seamlessly work with online booking channels, such as booking.com, HRS and more. As opposed to other PMS systems, Lodgit Desk will let users manage their channels directly within the software (PMS-integrated channel management) which will save the hoteliers time and money.
Lodgit Desk is a booking software that can manage a variety of accommodation types. It includes a graphical reservation schedule that can be used just like a classical reservation book, a cash book, invoice export for bookkeeping software, guest management, multi-lingual correspondence management as well as many analysis and reports, like RevPar and occupancy rate. The software is available for Windows and Mac and can be used in single or multi-user mode (SQL server).
The quite unconventional way in which the Swiss Olympic team utilises Lodgit Desk is a great example for how versatile the software is. The software is currently being used by about 400 accommodation establishments. Although the majority of the users is based in German speaking countries, Lodgit Desk is already being used in 27 countries around the globe.
