Lodgit Desk Update Version 1.6.

News for our German customers: For many of you, the reduced VAT rate for hospitality services applied in Germany since the beginning of the year was accompanied by a change in the former price system. Previous package offers had to be separated according to VAT rates for invoicing purposes, but this can be implemented relatively easily with the help of Lodgit Desk's package management system.

In the meantime, the Federal Ministry of Finance has explained that additional services that directly serve the accommodation service can also be invoiced at the reduced tax rate, such as;

- Provision of special furnishings   (television, telephone, safe)

- bed linen, towels, bathrobes

- Cleaning of the rented rooms

- Accommodation of animals, etc.

In the new Lodgit Desk version 1.6 you now have the possibility to change the VAT rate in all existing bookings, and for extra items that have not yet been invoiced, in a single step. This makes work much easier for frequent items such as "final cleaning", as it is no longer necessary to correct each individual booking manually.

This major update includes the following new features:

- Lists >: New list for the assessment of all forecast accommodation services, which can also be printed out and can be limited in terms of period, object and booking status;
- Correspondence: When an invoice is cancelled, a cancellation credit memo is now created, where both the texts and the payment method can be adjusted;
- New booking list below the graphical booking plan, in which all bookings are displayed (incl. search function and sorting options). Predefined search filters help to narrow down this list (e.g. bookings with expired deadlines, newly received online bookings, etc.)
- Administration "Day-end closing" has been replaced by "Closings", which allows extensive evaluations of the sales achieved in a specified period. In addition, there is a new turnover overview, where an evaluation of the income according to VAT, payment type, type (lodging /extra items /etc) can be made;
- New additional module for the connection of GASTWARE POS systems.

All users of the Lodgit online booking system should install this new update immediately, as the online booking system can no longer be synchronised with previous Lodgit Desk versions!

Before installing lodgit updates, you should always make a copy of your database and preferably store it on an external storage device. Your lodgit database will be updated the first time you start the program after the update, which can take several minutes, especially if your database is very large.
