Merry Christmas from Lodgit

In many ways, 2022 was a year of great challenges for all of us, both socially and economically. But with trust, confidence and mutual support, even difficult crises can be overcome.

The biggest challenge for our company was the unexpected, total server failure a few weeks ago. It was unforeseen that a power outage could disable all of the backup systems. We learned a lot from it, moving to a new data center and modernizing all servers at the same time. Without your understanding and support, we would not have survived this crisis, for which we would like to thank you very much.

In addition to many performance improvements for Lodgit Desk, we have also expanded our service portfolio this year. Our completely redesigned online booking system (OBS) with a new responsive layout offers you a cost-effective alternative to booking channels with outrageously high commissions on your website. Another highly requested feature has been implemented; you can now set variable minimum booking durations (MinLOS) there to fill unwanted gaps in the booking schedule.

For the coming year, we will announce more attractive new features in Lodgit Desk: For example, it will soon be possible to restrict access to sensitive business data with user management. You'll also soon be able to merge guest duplicates and thus ensure more order. Another feature will let you be able to send attractive HTML mails (SMTP dispatch).
