Lodgit Update 2.1 includes 64bit and Retina/HiDPI compatibility
Lodgit Update 2.1.x brings 64bit and Retina/HiDPI compatibility
Version 2.1.x of the Lodgit Desk hotel software is a large version update with a large renewed source code to ensure compatibility with current operating systems, as well as more stability and performance.
This update was necessary due to the 64-bit compatibility required by the macOS High Sierra and Mojave operating systems that provides better performance for large databases. Since all Mac computer models of the last 10 years already feature 64-bit hardware, all Mac users are expected to benefit. Since there is still a lot of 32-bit hardware available for Windows users, the standard Windows updater will still run with 32-bit.
However, also Windows users can use the 64-bit version of the update, but must then dispense with the internal automatic update function of Lodgit Desk and always install subsequent updates manually (see FAQ).
Visually, Lodgit Desk should now look sharper on the increasingly popular, high resolution screens, as this version has been optimised for Retina/HiDPI display compatibility under macOS and Windows. However, the optimisation of the high-resolution screen layout has not been completed yet, but will be included within the planned Lodgit updates.
Furthermore, with this update many more bugs have been fixed and multiple items have been improved.
