Together against corona pandemic - donation of 6000 surgical masks to Leipzig Zoo
As a show of solidarity in the fight against the Corona pandemic, Lodgit Hotelsoftware GmbH together with the Leipzig physician Dr. Kerstin Hohdorf took unusual paths in April and imported high-quality medical face-masks from China via a friendly contact in Hong Kong. Although the import to Europe turned out to be extremely complicated, we managed to purchase 30,000 surgical masks and 1000 KN95 breathing masks (cf. FFP2 standard).
6000 pieces of the surgical masks were donated by Mrs. Hohdorf to the Leipzig Zoo and were gratefully received by the Zoo Director Prof. Dr. Jörg Junhold. Further buyers were pharmacists, doctors and hairdressers, so that in the meantime only a small stock remains.
The managing director of Lodgit Hotelsoftware GmbH, Dr. Dirk Bockelmann, is glad that this mask adventure ended well in the end and is now able to devote his full attention to his main business, the further development of the Lodgit Desk hotel software.
