In the last yearly email in December 2011, we had named our two big goals for 2012: a server mode for Lodgit Desk and the integration of a channel manager. The server mode went public with version 1.9.x within the first three months already. The channel manager was a bit longer in the making, but with the latest big update to version 1.10.x we could integrate it as well.
We thank you for your trust in us and are happy to see our succesful partnership continue to 2013 and beyond.
We wish you the happies of holidays
and all the best wishes for the coming year!
Windows 8 has been available for about a week now and we –just like everyone else– have been testing it out. For us, it was mostly because we want to make sure that Lodgit Desk runs smoothly on the new operating system. And we’ve come to the conclusion:
Lodgit Desk is running just fine on Windows 8.
BUT: On Windows 8, you have to allow Lodgit Desk to communicate via private and public networks. Otherwise, Lodgit Desk can’t look for updates or synchronize with our online modules.
As avid user of Lodgit Desk, you work with our software day in and day out. Naturally, you want to know the latest as soon as possible, as you should. In order for us to better communicate “the latest” to you, we’ve now taken the plunge into the world of social networks.
If you follow our Twitter and Facebook accounts, you’ll be among the first to know whenever a new update is released and what features are to come in a future version. But there’s more: We’ll also post a few hints and tricks on how you can make better use of Lodgit Desk’s features. Every once in a while, you will also find hotel industry news that might interest you as well as information about Lodgit Desk specials!
The Olympic Games 2012 are coming to a close and the German company Dibomedia is keeping their fingers crossed not only for the German but also for the Swiss team. The Olympic team from Switzerland uses Dibomedia’s hotel software, Lodgit Desk, for managing their team accommodations. In the last few years, Dibomedia has developed and improved Lodgit Desk often, clearing hurdles such as availability in different languages and multi-user function.
