Managing value-added services and extras
From breakfast to laundry service, or sauna use to bicycle rentals: As a lodging establishment, you perhaps offer a wide range of additional services which your guests can take advantage of.
In Lodgit Desk you can create these extra services using the extras and packages function. If desired, you can also combine different items into one package, for example, a Valentine's Day package with a bouquet of roses, a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through the city and a candlelight dinner.
Once created, extra items and packages are quickly and easily assigned to the respective booking - and can be invoiced just as easily and quickly. The extra items management can also be used in other ways e.g:
- Charging of visitor's tax or tourist tax, which you collect for your city council
- Creation of and redeeming of vouchers
- Discounts or additional expenses
- Plus much more!
Holiday Package Deals and Special Offers for Upselling
Extra items can also be combined into a package deal. For example you could offer the above-mentioned Valentine's Day package, or a summer package with bicycle rental, ticket for the outdoor swimming pool and breakfast, or a hiking package with a packed lunch and a hiking map of the area... There are no limits to the deals you could create!
For each package you can decide whether it's an inclusive package, a package deal or a normal package. The separate extra items within a package can also have a different price than if they are booked separately. This makes upselling easy: breakfast for 6 €, dinner for 15 € - available together as a package half-board for 18 € etc.
You can also further tempt customers with popular upsell offers, for instance offering free stays upon a certain number of nights rental “Stay 4 nights – pay only 3”. This is all possible using package deals.
Tip: Packages can also be offered via the Lodgit online booking system - optionally or automatically!

Extra items can of course be evaluated in detail by Lodgit Desk and can even be represented with graphical charts.
This way you can see which of your extras is the most popular and also those that may need further refining. You will also have a list of fees (e.g. visitor's tax) that you have received as transitory items for the relevant authorities.
These lists can also be used for forecasts: let your kitchen staff know how many guests have booked for breakfast tomorrow, or for which guests the fridge in the holiday flat must be filled.
